Anderlecht is considering Kaminski

TRANSFERS According to Het Laatste Nieuws, Anderlecht is interested in Thomas Kaminski (32). The former Purple White goalkeeper has been relegated from the Championship with Luton and is said to be charmed by Anderlecht's offer.


Kaminski wants to be closer to his family and although Standard also already showed interest, Kaminski prefers a return to Anderlecht. Anderlecht would be negotiating with Luton who want to offer the goalkeeper another contract extension in vain, but it thus drops to the English third division.

Kaminski played 22 games for Anderlecht in the past. It saw in the goalkeeper the successor to Silvio Proto, but he was loaned three times to foreign clubs. In Belgium, he was active with Beerschot and after Anderlecht with Kortrijk and Gent. In 2020, he moved to England where he played one season in the Premier League with Luton.

The newspaper rightly asks what will happen to Colin Coosemans (32) then. Unlike Anderlecht, the goalkeeper played an excellent season and was rightly voted player of the past season. Coosemans will more than likely not resign himself to becoming second goalkeeper again. Coosemans is still under contract until 2027 although talks on a contract extension are said to be difficult.
