Is Anderlecht showing interest in Januzaj?

TRANSFERS Adnan Januzaj can leave Sevilla and according to Het Laatste Nieuws, Anderlecht has inquired with the player's entourage about a possible transfer. However, Het Nieuwsblad believes that it will not happen.


The latter newspaper reports that rumors of Januzaj's return have been popping up regularly and they now sound louder because coach Besnik Hasi, like Januzaj, has Kosovan roots. "Januzaj's entourage has always had contacts within Anderlecht, but there is no sign of any rapprochement today," the newspaper said.

Moreover, the question is whether Anderlecht can and wants to pay what Januzaj is demanding. The ex-Red Devil has to leave Sevilla, where he is under contract for another year, because of his high wage bill. Moreover, he has barely put a dent in a packet of butter for several years.

Both Het Nieuwsblad and Het Laatste Nieuws conclude that Januzaj is mainly looking abroad for a new club.
