Touba won't join Anderlecht

TRANSFERS Ahmed Touba, who enjoyed a successful loan at KV Mechelen last season, has decided to continue his career in Greece. Despite interest from Anderlecht, the Algerian defender has opted for an opportunity with Panathinaikos. Following his return to Basaksehir, where his future remained uncertain, Touba received multiple offers from various clubs. Anderlecht was among the interested parties, particularly due to the connection with Besnik Hasi, his former coach at KV Mechelen.

Ultimately, Touba chose to join the Greek powerhouse, with Panathinaikos officially announcing a transfer fee of one million euros for the defender.
