GAMES The draw for the second qualifying round of the Europa League has taken place, with Anderlecht set to face the winner of the match between Spartak Trnava and BK Häcken. The first leg will be held at home on July 24, followed by the return leg in Slovakia or Sweden a week later, marking the team's first official match of the new season. Spartak Trnava finished third in the Slovak league, trailing significantly behind champions Slovan Bratislava, while BK Häcken concluded the Swedish league as a mid-table team but secured a cup victory. Their matchup is scheduled for July 10 and 17.
Given their historical performance, a well-prepared Anderlecht is expected to advance to the next round. However, should they face elimination, they will drop into the third qualifying round of the Conference League. If Anderlecht successfully qualifies, they will still need to navigate two more rounds to reach the Europa League group stage.
