Anderlecht prefers not to sell Dolberg

TRANSFERS Kasper Dolberg can count on some interest from abroad, with Besiktas being mentioned as the most concrete. As we indicated earlier on this website, a transfer to the Turks is rather unlikely in our opinion. Besiktas would have to go to extremes in terms of finances to do so. 


By the way, Anderlecht would also choose to simply keep Dolberg. The striker does want to stay and Olivier Renard first aims to sell a number of other players to generate income. Selling Dolberg would only be an option in two scenarios: if other players do not sell and thus insufficient funds flow in for further reinforcements or if an offer that cannot be refused is made. We don't see Besiktas doing the latter.

A lot will depend on the sale of players like Verschaeren, Rits, Leoni and possibly Ashimeru, Foket, Vazquez and Stroeykens (who does not want to re-sign). Stroeykens has a price of 20 million and Verschaeren has a price of 5 million. So a sale of all these players should yield 30 to 35 million. If Stroeykens were to sign, Anderlecht would fetch 10 to 15 million. With another four incoming transfers expected, that's not a generous amount but might be possible if one or two players are rented instead of bought.
