Who is Enric Llansana: "A number one ball handler"

TRANSFERS With Enric Llansana, Anderlecht has all but secured its next transfered. According to Sacha Tavolieri, he will sign for four years. Who this relatively unknown footballer? A brief introduction.
Llansana is 24 years old and comes from Ajax training. In 2022, he moved to Go Ahead Eagles. With this team last season he finished seventh in the Eredivisie and surprisingly won the Dutch Cup. "He was our engine, we are going to miss him very much," says Jari De Busser, the Eagles' Belgian goalkeeper.

Continue reading In April, his coach Paul Simonis described Llansana as “the number one ball handler” in De Volkskrant. Simonis was very complimentary of his midfielder in that interview. "He is the personification of how I see soccer. Working really hard. Running, sprinting, dueling: for 88 minutes. And in the two minutes on the ball he is comfortable, reads the game and sees solutions."
These words of praise are confirmed by De Busser at Het Nieuwsblad. "Erick is not afraid to make the dirty meters, but once in possession of the ball he plays very clean soccer," said the goalkeeper. "Who plays next to him doesn't matter. If he has to, Llansana carries the midfield on his own."
As ball-handler, Llansana scored four times last season and provided five assists. His market value rose to 4 million euros, but a clausuel in his contract allows Anderlecht to bring him in for 1 million.
