GAMES Canada and Anderlecht-player Nathan Saliba have been surprisingly eliminated at the Gold Cup. In the quarterfinals, the North American country was eliminated by Guatemala after penalty kicks following a 1-1 final score. Saliba successfully converted one of Canada's penalty kicks.

Saliba came in for Niko Sigur in the 71st minute, a name that also passed through the rumor mill as a potential acquisition for purple and white. Too bad for Saliba, but positive news for Anderlecht, which will probably see its new player arrive a little faster as a result. Only Huerta is still active at the Gold Cup with Mexico.
