One phone call was enough to bring Biglia back to Anderlecht

In 2013, the Kosovar played a crucial role in Biglia's transfer to Lazio and ‘Il Principito' never forgot it. That is why the Argentine immediately packed his bags after Besnik Hasi's phone call. 


Lucas Biglia, a symbolic figure for purple and white in the 2000s, has returned to Anderlecht as a member of the coaching staff. The Argentine left the club in 2013 to join Lazio, a transfer made possible by Hasi himself at the time.

Hasi and Biglia developed a strong bond, from the young Argentine midfielder's breakthrough to his departure for Italy, through important decisions in his career. Even after Biglia's departure, Hasi continued to play an influential role behind the scenes.

With his experience in Serie A, a World Cup final and the Champions League, Biglia will be in charge of Anderlecht's young talents.

For Hasi, this appointment completes the circle that began more than a decade ago. For Biglia, it could be the beginning of a new chapter, or even a future career as head coach.
