Defender Troyes linked to Anderlecht

TRANSFERS According to French website Footmercato, Anderlecht is showing interest in Junior Diaz, a 21-year-old defender from Troyes. At the French second division club, Diaz played a top season, which means he is now attracting interest from several clubs.


Three League 1 clubs, Anderlecht, Antwerp and an undisclosed foreign club playing Champions League are said to have Diaz in mind. Diaz will also train with sister club Manchester City during preparation for the new season.

How concrete Anderlecht's interest is remains to be seen. Diaz is a right-footed central defender, while Anderlecht is setting its sights primarily on a left-footer.

Diaz is under contract with Troyes until 2029. His market value is estimated at 4 million euros.
