TRANSFERS Mario Stroeykens has still not signed a contract extension and so the club is forced to sell the player. However, a hefty price of 20 million is hanging over his head, making potential buyers think twice. West Ham's name has been circulating for a while and Het Nieuwsblad previously cited Frankfurt, Marseille and Lyon in May. But PSV Eindhoven is also looking at the possibility of bringing in Stroeykens, according to several foreign sources.

Whether PSV is actually thinking about Stroeykens remains to be seen. Currently, it is nothing more than some rumors from (less reliable) sources on the social media platform X that are eagerly shared and copied on other websites.

Lyon's interest will in all likelihood also be firmly cooled. Meanwhile, the French club has other concerns due to a mandatory relegation to the Ligue 2 due to financial problems.

Around Marseille, Frankfurt and West Ham remain rather quiet. Interest would still be there, but from West Ham it is already known that they have to sell first. The interest in the midfielder remains, but a concrete offer for Stroeykens cannot be expected immediately.
