Anderlecht shows interest in Plsen midfielder Cerv

TRANSFERS According to the website TEAMtalk, Anderlecht is showing interest in Lukas Cerv, a 24-year-old central midfielder from Viktoria Plsen. Cerv is also said to be in the picture at Norwich, Gent and Trabzonspor. Purple and White still know the Czech from during last season's Europa League competition.


Cerv came to Plsen a year and a half ago from Slavia Prague and completely blossomed there. During this period, his market value rose from 700,000 euros to 4.5 million euros. In June last year, Cerv made his debut for the Czech national team and in the meantime he counts nine internationals and one goal. According to TEAMtalk, he feels ready for a step up.

How concrete Anderlecht's interest is is anyone's guess. Cerv is more of a ‘number eight' and with Nathan Saliba, Anderlecht already brought in such a type last week. Possibly Cerv was on the same list and so now he is no longer a slope.
