
TRANSFERS Majeed Ashimeru is one of the players to leave the club. The midfielder was given another contract extension under previous sporting director Fredberg, but injuries kept recurring so the player is actually rarely fit. His contract expires in 2027 and his market value has now dropped from 3.5 million in 2022 to 1.5 million euros. Anderlecht also paid one and a half million in 2021 itself when the Ghanaian came over from RB Salzburg.
Despite his medical history, interest has now surfaced for the Ghanaian international. Antalyaspor are said to be concretely interested in acquiring the player from purple-white. So it seems Ashimeru is on his way to Turkey and Anderlecht will realize his first outbound transfer. How much money that will bring is still unclear. At best, Anderlecht will recover its initial investment of one and a half million.
