Anderlecht named as destination for Israel

TRANSFERS Franco Israel, a 25-year-old Uruguayan goalkeeper from Sporting CP, has had limited opportunities to play since the arrival of Rui Silva in January, who took over the position of first goalkeeper. Given his limited opportunities at the club, Israel is looking to revive his career elsewhere and is open to a transfer. Two clubs have shown interest in the goalkeeper: Torino and RSC Anderlecht. Both teams have reportedly contacted Sporting CP.


Meanwhile, Sporting's sports management has set an asking price of 5 million euros for the possible sale of Israel. That's pretty high for Anderlecht, which has a reliable goal keeper with Coosemans.
