INTERVIEWS For Olivier Renard, this is his first summer as Anderlecht's sports director. With six newcomers and a completely renewed coaching staff, his main objective is to bring about a change in mentality in the locker room.

Renewal in the staff
Renard made sweeping changes in the coaching staff and brought in strong names such as Still, Taravel, Biglia and Proto. Besnik Hasi remains coach, but with a stronger team to strengthen the authority of the staff.

Goals and ambitions
He does not promise a title, but demands a fighter's mentality in every match. RSCA wants to improve the structure of their squad, with more pace on the wings and a good defensive balance.

Transfers and player management
Anderlecht approaches the market proactively and does not wait for late opportunities. Certain players, such as Dolberg, are not for sale, despite market interest. Sporting is trying to avoid the simultaneous departure of several talented youngsters at the end of their contracts.

Investment in youngsters
The purchase of Ilay Camara (4 to 4.5 million) is presented as a correction of past mistakes. Anderlecht prefers to develop promising talent (such as Keita) rather than buying “ready-made” players.

Finance and sales
The board sets financial goals to be achieved through sales, but Renard refuses to sell his players. "Players worth a bottle of champagne, we don't sell for a Sprite. Anderlecht will not sell its talent.

Importance of European football
European qualification is essential to the image and growth of Royal Sporting Club Anderlecht.
