OTHER Stefan Rakić, a 31-year-old Serbian, joins RSCA Futsal after successful seasons at Rekord Bielsko-Biała in Poland. The international was attracted to Anderlecht's ambitious project and hopes to contribute to the team's title, cup, and final four Champions League victory. Rakić is no stranger to Belgium, having recently faced Serbia twice against Belgium. In the Champions League, he played for Bielsko-Biała, where his team defeated Anderlecht.
His compatriot Dragan Tomic, who played for Anderlecht for five years, has given him positive feedback about the club. Besides his sporting ambitions, Rakić is also inspired by Aleksandar Mitrović, a big name in his homeland and a former Anderlecht player.
And new signing Mihajlo Cvetkovic is also no stranger to him: "He's definitely a player to keep an eye on," he says promisingly.
Rakić may be an indoor soccer player, but he started his career combining futsal and grass football. He signed his first professional contract with Ekonomac in Kragujevac and has since played in various countries, including Croatia, Romania, and Bosnia, before spending the past four seasons in Poland.
Anderlecht's players will take to the pitch for the first time this season on August 10th at the Alfasun Indoor Arena for a friendly against Blue Magic FC Dublin. This offers a chance to see new manager Álvaro Martínez and the new signings, including Rakić, in action.
