Rumor: Janssen allegedly offered to RSCA

TRANSFERS Rumor is circulating that Vincent Janssen has allegedly been offered to Anderlecht. Antwerp wants to get rid of his heavy contract and is looking for a solution. However, the player told Het Laatste Nieuws that he has no intention of leaving Antwerp. Janssen does admit that the club initially sought solutions due to financial pressure, but according to him, that has now been abandoned due to the departure of other players.


We probably shouldn't attach much significance to this rumor. First and foremost, it would be strange that Antwerp would want to strengthen a direct competitor like Anderlecht. Secondly, Janssen doesn't seem to fit into the Purple & White transfer strategy. Janssen is 31, which means Anderlecht can't generate any added value. Moreover, his market value is estimated at €7 million, which Anderlecht won't pay.
