Hazard: "A lot of competition is good to keeping everyone focused"

INTERVIEWS There were doubts during pre-season, but Thorgan Hazard responded with his feet. He scored two goals, winning the match against Westerlo. "I think I showed I'm not in such bad shape," he said with a grin.


Hazard was unhappy that Anderlecht conceded two goals in quick succession after the break. "We didn't start the second half well. As usual," he said, referring to a problem from last season. "We need to find a solution quickly. Fortunately, we scored five times and took the three points. That's the most important thing. We played with passion, and as a team."

Hazard didn't want to dwell on his bench-sitting status last Thursday. "Everyone within the squad knows there's a lot of competition. That's good for keeping everyone on their toes."
