INTERVIEWS Coming on as a substitute and deciding the match a minute later: that's what Nathan Saliba did Sunday afternoon. "A magical feeling," he described it afterward. "Especially because my parents and sister were in the stands. They're leaving for Canada."

"The night before your first match, many scenarios run through your head. This is what I dreamed about yesterday," said Saliba.

The Canadian says he already feels completely at home at Anderlecht. "I had a good preseason. The three weeks were necessary to get used to the level of the league and the new club. I've been well received here."

With Yari Verschaeren and Nathan De Cat, Saliba faces some tough competition for the number 8 spot. "The competition lifts us all to a higher level. Of course, I want to play as much as possible. The mentality is good and we know we can do great things this season."
