Did Fenerbahçe offer 8 million for Stroeykens?

TRANSFERS Turkish media are suggesting that Fenerbahçe is willing to offer eight million euros for Mario Stroeykens. The Anderlecht golden boy has been on the verge of leaving for a while, as he is in the final year of his contract and refuses to re-sign. However, Anderlecht put a 20 million dollar offer on his head, which quickly dampened most interest.


The club from Istanbul certainly doesn't want to go that far either. But as the summer progresses, Anderlecht will have to compromise. If not, they risk a January departure for next to nothing (or a free transfer in June 2026). So, the club will certainly consider eight million, or at least start negotiating, especially now that they need money for Bertaccini, among others.

The only question remains to what extent the news is reliable. In Turkey, names are often dropped in the media. So, that remains to be seen for this report as well...
