1B The RSCA Futures are on the eve of a new season with a revamped team and a modified technical team. Coach Jelle Coen, who is entering his second season as head coach of the U23 team, is enthusiastically looking forward to the competition. "We're starting the championship with renewed energy," says Coen. The first opponent is Kortrijk, a serious title contender in the Challenger Pro League, which immediately makes the challenge considerable.

Coen has set the main goal of making every match difficult for the opponents. This season, the RSCA Futures don't have to worry about relegation, which provides room for experimentation and development. The team aims to perform better than last year, when they were embroiled in a relegation battle.

The team has undergone significant renewal, with targeted reinforcements and talented players from the U18s. Furthermore, there's a possibility that some first-team players will be added to the RSCA Futures squad to gain more playing time. Cvetkovic could be an example of this.

Pre-season preparations have been relatively positive, with victories against Reims B, Metz B, and a Qatari club, among others.
