Return leg not in Tiraspol, but in Chisinau

OTHER Next week's return leg against Sheriff Tiraspol will not take place in Tiraspol, but in the Moldovan capital, Chisinau. Tiraspol is located in Transnistria, a politically unstable region near Ukraine.


Partly on the advice of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Anderlecht had urged UEFA to move the match elsewhere. UEFA has now agreed.

Sheriff will host Anderlecht at the national stadium in the capital, Chisinau. The Zimbru Stadium has a capacity of 10,400 spectators. The match kicks off at 7:00 PM.
