INTERVIEWS Nilson Angulo has apparently found his place at RSC Anderlecht, although it took him several years. It took some time for Angulo to finally find his place, and there were, of course, moments when he doubted himself and his choice for Anderlecht. But then came the international matches with Ecuador. Thanks to his selection for the national team, he also has the opportunity to spend more time with his family. There was a click between coach and player, and especially with assistant Lucas Biglia. "He knows the club, and importantly for me, he speaks Spanish. That means I can tell him a lot of things, including personal matters, and that's a huge support. I've found two real friends in Luis Vazquez and César Huerta."

Angulo scored the opener against Sheriff and still received a verbal taunt from the coach at halftime. "The coach can taunt me, no problem. I know he only does it to make me better. In modern football, I'm expected to defend."
