Leandro Perez Sanchez Selected for Spanish U15

YOUTH Leandro Perez Sanchez, goalkeeper, has been selected for the Spanish U15 national team. The question arises, however, whether this selection stems from a preference for Spain or a lack of opportunities in Belgium, where the U15 category was recently abolished. The Belgian Football Association has decided to reduce operational costs, which has led to the almost complete abolition of the U15 national team.


This decision could have consequences, as there is a risk that some promising players with dual nationality, such as Perez Sanchez, will leave the Belgian football system permanently.

Nevertheless, Leandro Perez Sanchez remains a promising goalkeeper who regularly trains with the higher category, even though he mainly plays in his own age group at Anderlecht.
