KV Mechelen finds Rits too old

TRANSFERS KV Mechelen has decided not to sign Mats Rits. The midfielder was on a shortlist of candidates to replace Rob Schoofs, but according to Het Nieuwsblad, Malinwa considers the 32-year-old midfielder too old.


KV Mechelen would prefer to acquire a younger player who can be sold on profitably in the long run.

Theo Leoni was also considered in that regard, but he opted for Stade Reims.
