Official: Simic to Al-Ittihad

TRANSFERS Anderlecht and Al-Ittihad have announced the transfer of Jan-Carlo Simic. Anderlecht will receive over €20 million for the defender, although it will also have to pay some of that amount to AC Milan.


According to transfer journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Al-Ittihad will initially pay €6 million for a one-year loan for Simic. This will be followed by a mandatory purchase option worth €15 million. This amount will be paid in two installments.

Anderlecht acquired Simic from AC Milan last year for €2.75 million. It was agreed at the time that, in the event of a resale, 20% of the surplus would also go to Milan.
