1B In the Challenger Pro League, RSCA Futures suffered a disappointing 0-2 defeat against Beerschot. The young team, led by coach Jelle Coen, started the match with great bravado and creativity, but was unable to withstand the experience of their opponents. With only two players over the age of 20, 16-year-old Jayden Onia Seke stood out in particular with his speed and ability to disrupt the Beerschot defense. Despite the defeat, Coen remained proud of his players.

“We performed well in the first half, winning duels and finding solutions. However, we still need to work on our presence in the box and on consistency,” said the coach.

With a disappointing points tally of 3 out of 12, he emphasizes the need for continuity in performance. “This is a young team that will grow. This is not a mental setback, but a learning process.”

The preparation for the match was far from ideal for RSCA Futures, as Coen only had his full squad available on Thursday due to international commitments of players.

Nevertheless, Coen remains optimistic, despite the disappointing results. “I was disappointed after the match against Eupen, but today I am mainly proud. The young players gave their all,” he concluded after the match.
