OTHER Anderlecht is sending two players from its first team, Ali Maamar and Anas Tajaouart, to the U-20 World Cup, which will be played in Chile starting on September 27. Both players have been called up for Morocco.
Now that Sardella is back from injury, Maamar's absence should not cause any problems on paper. However, there is currently no worthy backup for the right-back position. Tajaouart has barely played this season due to competition in midfield.
Also called up for the World Cup for Morocco is former Anderlecht player Ismaël Baouf. He made the transfer to Cambuur Leeuwarden in the Netherlands this summer.
