Nevertheless, the experienced goalkeeper wants to temper the euphoria. According to him, it is crucial that Anderlecht keeps both feet on the ground. “Well, the perception of Anderlecht changes every week,” he explains. “When things are going badly, we try to stay as far away from the drama as possible. And now we're not getting caught up in the hype either. It's all about continuing to work hard and hoping that the upward trend continues.”
Coosemans emphasizes the focus needed to maintain the results. The victory is a boost to confidence, but within the group of players, the prevailing belief is that only discipline and consistency can help the team move forward in a structural way.
