And suddenly Anderlecht is in second place

OTHER Now that Anderlecht and Club Brugge have played their postponed games, all clubs in the top division have eight games played. And what do we see? After eight match days, Anderlecht is actually in second place.


Anderlecht has 14 out of 24. Those are not outstanding figures, but only Union is doing better. Much better, in fact: the national champion leads comfortably with 20 points.

But Club Brugge, which is currently rated considerably higher than Anderlecht, is level with Anderlecht. However, the Purple & White have a better goal difference, which is why Anderlecht is in second place. STVV also has 14 points.

This Friday, Anderlecht will visit OH Leuven, which is second to last in the standings. It's a great opportunity to consolidate that second place.
