Jelle Coen: "Even with ten players, we deserved three points"

INTERVIEWS In a thrilling Challenger Pro League match, RSCA Futures delivered a dominant performance against Club NXT, but had to settle for a 2-2 draw. The match showed the talent of 18-year-old Mihajlo Cvetkovic, who showed his instincts as a striker with two goals. After a cool equalizer in the first half, he scored again after a beautiful combination with Engwanda in the second. Cvetkovic, who has already been selected for the Serbian national team, has high ambitions and wants to join the Anderlecht first team.


A crucial moment in the match was the sending-off of Ibrahim Kanaté, who received his second yellow card just before halftime for an unnecessary handball. This error left the Brussels side numerically inferior, diminishing their control of the match. Coach Jelle Coen reacted critically: "It was a stupid sending-off, but I understand his frustration. Even with ten players, we were the better team and deserved more."

Despite his disappointment at the missed result, Cvetkovic remained level-headed: "I'm happy with my goals, but I still need to raise my game."

The match was further overshadowed by the injury to Elyess Dao, who had to leave the pitch after ten minutes with a suspected hamstring injury.
