TRANSFERS Majeed Ashimeru no longer has a future at RSC Anderlecht. The Ghanaian midfielder, once considered a promising signing, has not yet played this season and is no longer in the first team. The player is forced to leave, which is gradually leading to tensions with the club's management. Ashimeru joined Anderlecht in 2021 but has never been able to prove himself.
At 27, he must continue his career elsewhere. A possible new destination for the midfielder is Russia, where FK Krasnodar is reportedly in advanced talks to welcome him during the winter transfer window. This rather unexpected move could offer Ashimeru the playing time and stability he seeks. Competition from Olympiakos, who previously showed interest, now seems to have faded.
Ashimeru has a contract with Anderlecht until 2027 and his market value is estimated at €1.5 million. This amount is certainly within Krasnodar's reach.
