TRANSFERS RSC Anderlecht has drawn attention to Abduljelil Kamaldeen, a promising player from the Kwara Football Academy. The sixteen-year-old midfielder is currently part of the Nigerian U20 team participating in the World Cup.

During the first match of the U20 World Cup, he briefly featured against Norway. However, Nigeria lost the match with 1-0. Anderlecht faces stiff competition for the Nigerian: both Antwerp and English giants Chelsea are following his performance.

Kamaldeen's height isn't exactly his strength at the moment: currently (as a 16-year-old) he measures only 1.58m (5'11"), but the player is technically very gifted. RSC Anderlecht reportedly even sent a scout to observe him during the second match against Saudi Arabia.

Since the arrival of Olivier Renard, the focus of the transfer policy has shifted back to young talent, and the club is actively exploring the market. The Purple & White is also focusing on major international youth competitions such as the U20 World Cup.
