INJURIES RSC Anderlecht has thoroughly overhauled its medical and physical department to prevent future injuries. The club officially appointed Bram Geers (photo) as Performance Director and added two experts with Olympic experience to the staff, Joris Jellasics and Vincent Adriaensen.
Last season, the purple and white team was severely affected by injuries to players such as Kasper Dolberg, Mario Stroeykens, Thorgan Hazard, Jan Vertonghen, and Killian Sardella. After an internal evaluation, the club decided to revamp the medical and performance department.

Olympic experience on board With Joris Jellasics, Anderlecht has brought in a strength and conditioning coach who gained experience with OHL, the RBFA, and the Belgian judo team during the Paris Games.
Vincent Adriaensen will also join as a sports physiotherapist and osteopath. He built a solid reputation in elite sports coaching and worked for the BOIC during three Olympic Games: Rio 2016, Tokyo 2021, and Paris 2024.
Away with injury worries Last season, Anderlecht called on consultants Jacques Borlée and Wim Vandeven, but their partnership was not renewed. With the arrival of Geers, Jellasics, and Adriaensen, the club wants to focus primarily on injury prevention and further optimization of physical performance, hoping to have a fit core season.
