INTERVIEWS After last week's poor performance at OH Leuven, Anderlecht has some making up to do in the Clasico. At his press conference this afternoon, Besnik Hasi revisited that match. "Three days earlier against Gent, we played with high intensity, but we couldn't bring that to the table against OHL," said the coach.

"We analyzed the situation, and we weren't good. We weren't as good in possession and there was less dynamism. As a result, we created fewer chances. It's no excuse, but with Stroeykens and Hazard, we missed two players who could give us that impetus. We worked this week to improve our offensive performance."

"Three days earlier against Gent, we played with high intensity, but against OHL we couldn't produce that. That has nothing to do with mentality. The quality on the ball simply wasn't enough to create chances."

Although he scored, Luis Vazquez was, for many, the unlucky one, the epitome of everything that went wrong. Hasi, however, continues to support his striker. "I talk to him a lot, and so do my staff. As with all the players. We work a lot on finishing in training and instill confidence in him. He works very hard for the team. We can't blame Vazquez solely on what happened at OHL. No one was up to par offensively."

A journalist in attendance asked if starting Hazard as a false nine was an option. "Not at the moment," said Hasi. "We're missing guys who can keep the ball down low or contribute ideas. Thorgan can bring something extra in that area."
