Transfer rumors: Stroeykens and Verschaeren out, Sikan in?

TRANSFERS Mario Stroeykens recently signed a new contract with the club until 2028. This means that clubs will once again have to dig deep into their pockets if they want to sign the player. However, Olympique Marseille is not deterred. French sources report that the southern French club wants to make another attempt to sign the player in January. Anderlecht's current asking price is unknown, but it is likely to be around €10 million.


Yari Verschaeren can also count on interest from Turkey. Turkish sources report that Trabzonspor wants to try to convince him in January. 

Verschaeren has a contract that expires in June 2026, giving the club two options: renew immediately or sell the player in January. The first option is not likely to happen anytime soon, as Verschaeren has a fairly heavy contract. Selling seems realistic, but it is unclear whether the player himself is interested in a Turkish adventure.

Sources in Turkey report that the Purple & White are still interested in Trabzonspor striker Danil Sikan. Sikan is 24 years old and has a market value of €6 million. The tall Ukrainian striker is not yet a regular for the Turks and sees little playing time. Sikan was already on the purple-and-white radar and seemed to be a last-minute solution after Dolberg's departure.
