OTHER Things finally moved forward: Anderlecht's board of directors met and approved Marc Coucke's plan: Kenneth Bornauw (photo) will return to the club and becomes the new CEO. He will be in charge of day-to-day operations. Michael Verschueren will become chairman. Both will start their new roles in early November.

Het Laatste Nieuws understands that the board of directors agreed to Coucke's proposal ‘remarkably quickly'. The meeting, which took place at the Saint-Guidon restaurant, lasted less than an hour.

Wouter Vandenhaute was not present at the meeting. Tomas Van den Spiegel did the honors for Mauvavie. It had already been announced that Mauvavie would not stand in the way and would take a constructive approach. Van den Spiegel did just that.
