INTERVIEWS After a few difficult weeks, Cédric Hatenboer and Anderlecht seem to be back on the same page. Besnik Hasi said during his press conference that he is satisfied with the young midfielder's work and progress.
A few weeks ago, there was some commotion because Hatenboer refused to play for the Futures. However, he played 81 minutes in the last match, at the beginning of October. After a meeting with the club, a change of heart was made. Hasi also saw the right mentality in his Dutch midfielder during the international break. "He has responded very positively to everything over the past two weeks. He has worked well, but he was doing that before as well," said the coach.
Last week, Hatenboer scored a goal and an assist in a friendly against Beveren (6-0), but Hasi can't draw too much from that. "Unfortunately, Beveren played with their B-team. I had hoped they'd play with their strongest team. A team that's won everything and plays good football. So our guys who haven't played as well would have had a real opponent. But that wasn't the case. Cedric scoring did boost his confidence, though."
