OTHER Nathan de Cat is becomiing a key player for Anderlecht at a young age. The youngster still has a contract in Brussels until 2027. However, given his rapid development, Anderlecht wants to avoid having to sell De Cat next year to avoid a potential free transfer in 2027.
The club is said to be considering renegotiating his contract and extending it for a maximum period (given his age, this can be up to one year). The financial aspect will, of course, also be discussed.
De Cat's market value rose from €2.5 million to €7 million in just six months (and will likely rise even further if the midfielder can maintain his current level).
