YOUTH Yesterday, RSC Anderlecht announced that Afrim Salievski will return to the club as Academy Talent Director.

On September 26, it was announced that Peter Verbeke is leaving football to join Walter Van Steenbruggen's law firm. He will remain at the club until the end of this year to ensure a smooth transition.

Now it has also been announced who will take over his duties: Afrim Salievski, who previously worked as a youth scout at Neerpede. He left in 2020 to become Youth Scouting Coordinator at Ajax. In that capacity, he was involved in the transfer of a number of Belgian talents, including Mika Godts and Jorthy Mokio, but, to the regret of many Anderlecht supporters, also Rayane Bounida and Ethan Butera. After five years, he is now returning to Neerpede as Academy Talent Director. He will be ultimately responsible for the retention and recruitment of young talent and will head the scouting team.

The 45-year-old Albanian from Brussels played for RWDM and FC Brussels during his playing years.
