Renard: "Özcan and Ilic don't cost any money"

INTERVIEWS At RSC Anderlecht, the non-use of summer loan signings Yasin Özcan and Mihajlo Ilic has raised questions. Sporting director Olivier Renard, however, emphasizes that these two players do not cost the club any money and that he has no regrets about the choices made. His intention was to have four central defenders in the squad, but the final playing time is determined by the coaching staff. Renard points out that it is still too early to make a definitive assessment of Özcan and Ilic.


Although the Serbian defender received criticism after a poor performance against Ninove, Renard emphasizes that he was not the only one who underperformed.

Finally, he reports that Özcan himself took the initiative to ask for playing time at RSCA Futures, which points to his motivation to further develop himself within the club.
