The player's performance is directly linked to the financial aspect of the transfer fee. In the summer of 2023, Anderlecht signed Luis Vázquez for around €3 million. He joined from Boca Juniors.
After his 5th and 10th goals from open play (penalties do not count), Anderlecht had to pay €250,000 to Boca Juniors. When he scores his 20th goal, the bill will increase by another €500,000. With 17 goals already scored, Vázquez is only three goals away from that milestone.
Whether the Argentine will reach 20 remains a big question mark. The striker has not played since October 24 and his last start dates back to October 5. Currently, he is no longer coming off the bench.
