OTHER Anderlecht will have to do without Mario Stroeykens for the last weeks of 2025 and the first weeks of 2026. The attacking midfielder is part of Congo's selection for the Africa Cup. That tournament will take place from December 21 to January 18.
Congo will face Benin (December 23), Senegal (December 27), and Botswana (December 30) in the first round.
Stroeykens will definitely miss the matches against Antwerp (December 21) and Charleroi (December 26). Depending on the departure date and how far Congo advances, Anderlecht may also be without him for the matches against STVV (December 13) and Gent (January 16).
