TRANSFERS Some newspapers reported that Antwerp is interested in Cedric Hatenboer. The midfielder is unable to establish himself at Anderlecht, while Antwerp is in need of reinforcement. A year ago, when Anderlecht signed Hatenboer, Antwerp also showed considerable interest.
The Great Old was just too late, because Hatenboer had already given his word to Anderlecht.
However, Hatenboer is currently unable to break through at the purple and white club. Physically, he cannot deliver what Besnik Hasi expects from his players. He does not want to play with the Futures. A (temporary) departure in January is the best solution for all parties.
The question is how determined Antwerp is to push ahead. The club has a few young midfielders knocking on the door and does not want to slow down their development.
