INJURIES Anderlecht received bad news Wednesday morning: Marco Kana will be out for six weeks. The young center back injured his ankle during Sunday's clash with Union Saint-Gilloise. Kana has had a major impact on the defense in recent months. Although he seemed unneeded at the start of the season, Kana has worked his way up to become a leader in defense.

“Kana has been a pillar for us this season, he has made tremendous progress,” Anderlecht coach Besnik Hasi said today during his press conference. “It's a big blow for him and for us. Fortunately, Sardella has been trained as a central defender, so he is the logical replacement for Kana,” the RSCA coach added.

Tonight, in the Belgian Cup against Genk, Anderlecht will have to prove that it can continue its good form without Kana. Lucas Hey will be back in time to strengthen the back line, while Killian Sardella has already shown against Union that he can step in with verve in the center.
