OTHER RSC Anderlecht continues to reinvent itself, and this time the changes are happening behind the scenes. According to information from Het Nieuwsblad, David Verwilghen, the architect behind La Louvière's resurgence, is on the verge of joining Lotto Park as Director of Recruitment.

The 37-year-old Verwilghen is no stranger to Belgian football. Since 2017, he has helped — together with Nicolas Frutos — to develop La Louvière into a professional and well-structured project, which ultimately earned promotion to 1A. His biggest asset? A data-driven approach, fully aligned with the modern scouting philosophy Anderlecht wants to implement. Verwilghen has an engineering background and previously worked as a players' agent, representing, among others, Paul-José Mpoku. This blend of technical expertise, network, and vision fits perfectly with a club that aims to re-establish itself as a benchmark in recruitment.

Verwilghen previously turned down an offer from Standard, but Anderlecht appears to be coming at just the right time, although nothing is official yet.
