TRANSFERS In addition to outgoing transfers, Anderlecht must also look ahead to the contractual situation of several key players. Four players—Mats Rits, Yari Verschaeren, Thorgan Hazard, and Marco Kana—are in the last year and a half of their contracts. Legally, they are already allowed to negotiate with other clubs for a transfer-free move in June 2026.
The Purple & White seem to have little concern about Rits and Verschaeren, but definitely want to keep Hazard and Kana on board for longer. Talks are expected with Hazard in particular, although this will probably involve a pay cut.
In addition, there are sporting issues to be resolved. What to do with loanee Mihajlo Ilic, especially if an extra defender is added? And what about second goalkeeper Mads Kikkenborg? The Dane seems to be on his way out and is strongly linked to Norwegian club Molde, although German interest cannot be ruled out either. For Olivier Renard, it will be an internship full of observations and decisions.
