GAMES Anderlecht lost 2-1 to Sankt-Gallen on training camp in Spain. The Swiss are currently second in the league and had a 2-0 lead. In the closing stages, Cvetkovic was able to ease the pressure, and the Purple & White almost equalized.
Anderlecht's lack of a good striker on the ball was once again noticeable. Hazard and Bertaccini missed good chances, but in the meantime, the Swiss had taken the lead after rather lax defending. Hey unluckily chipped the ball past Coosemans. Apart from two chances, Anderlecht hardly created any danger.
Augustinsson was rested after the break. Degreef also failed to capitalize on a good chance after the break. Hasi made several substitutions on the hour mark, and Tajaouart came on as central defender. Youngsters Vroninks and Nga Kana also got playing time. St. Gallen made it 2-0 in a scrappy moment after a free kick. Anderlecht finally managed to score thanks to Cvetkovic, who was sent deep. In the final moments, Cvetkovic had another chance to make it 2-2, but the Serbian shot high over the bar.
