DAMES The RSCA Women welcome a new addition. The team is strengthened by the arrival of Andrea Rut Bjarnadottir, who joins Anderlecht as the Purple & White prepares for the resumption of the championship against Zulte Waregem. The young 22-year-old midfielder joins a compatriot in Anderlecht: goalscorer Vigdis Kristjansdottir. Bjarnadottir joins from Breidablik, where she competed in the UEFA Women's European Cup, including against Häcken.
She is versatile: at Breidablik, she primarily played in midfield, but for the Icelandic national team, she was also deployed on the wings. "She's an attacking midfielder with very specific qualities," explains Artz. "She can really add something to our game. Finding a compatriot will ease her integration, but as a professional player, it's mainly up to her to seize this opportunity and forge her own path."
