"Luckily, the camera wasn't focused on me. This is a reward for his entire career. It's particularly difficult for a goalkeeper to win such awards, so this is truly the crowning glory of his career."
Despite the festivities, Coosemans' contract situation remains a topic of discussion. Anderlecht presented the goalkeeper with a proposal with performance-related conditions, while he himself is seeking more certainty. In the matches against Westerlo and Charleroi, he was caught off guard a few times. “Colin is experienced and professional enough not to let that affect him,” Hasi reassures us. “We are in close contact, but that is exclusively about the sporting side of things. Everyone makes mistakes, including goalkeepers. We shouldn't make a bigger deal out of it than necessary. He has already earned us a lot of points this season.”
