INTERVIEWS Thorgan Hazard was pleased after Anderlecht's cup win against AA Gent, although he acknowledged that the Purple & White had a few lucky escapes. The decision not to give Marco Kana a red card raised a few eyebrows.

Continue reading According to Hazard, Anderlecht did have chances to seal the deal. “We could have finished it off with a second goal. But the most important thing is that we've reached the semifinals again. Our goal is clear: to get back to the final.”
The controversial phase with Kana was also discussed. “I was a bit surprised that he only got a yellow card,” Hazard admitted. “I haven't reviewed the footage yet, but he did play the ball out of bounds. Anyway, I'm glad the referee didn't give him a red card.”
In the semifinals, Anderlecht will face Antwerp, just like last season. “Those are always tough games,” Hazard concluded. “They are difficult matches, but we will do everything we can to eliminate them again.”
